Custom development & setup fees
Hallstack’s work is custom-built for each client. Because time, design, and development effort are invested from day one, custom development and setup fees are generally non-refundable once work has begun. If a project is cancelled mid-way, completed work and work in progress up to the cancellation date are billable per the engagement’s written scope.
Deposits
Project deposits reserve scheduling and fund the initial phase of work. If you cancel before any work has started, we will discuss a fair resolution; once discovery, design, or development work has begun, deposits are generally non-refundable.
Recurring services
Recurring services — such as monthly website care, lead-generation system management, and reputation or retargeting maintenance — can be cancelled according to the terms of the applicable agreement or invoice. Unless stated otherwise in writing, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid for that period are not prorated or refunded.
Exceptions
Any exception to this policy — including partial refunds or credits — must be agreed in writing between the client and Hallstack LLC. We would rather solve a problem than argue about one: if something isn’t right, email jack@hallstack.dev and we’ll work it out directly.
How to cancel
To cancel a recurring service or an in-progress project, send written notice to jack@hallstack.dev. We’ll confirm receipt, the effective date, and any final invoice within one business day.
